Vision:

By Zoheir Salem*

The coach man and the American carriage

When the carriage goes forward your eyes would be on the horses, but an objector objected me and said that the horses are not joined to the carriages and when the carriages go forward look then look for: the stick or the carrot.

Medline Albright declared one day that she represents America , the country of global responsibilities and the nation that is capable of doing what it wants the time it wants this say has become the principle for the American thinking.

-      The Iraqi resistance put an end to the American ego. Had the Americans obtained victory in Iraq as Bush thought or wanted when he declared from the deck of the American warship the end of the US military operations then the world would look so different. The Iraqi resistance fought in Iraq on behalf of the entire world, on behalf of  Russia, China,  Japan, the French who are skilled only in making French cheese according the American’s point of view, and on behalf of the aged Europe and its aging countries too.

The lesson of Iraq emphasizes that the victory over the peoples is not as easy as it is over the regimes and armies, and that and that is the strategic extract of that war.

The Iraqi resistant have changed this American thinking principle expressed by Ms. Albright and they won the challenge of (We do what we want the time we want).

With the winning of that challenge, the world or its countries and regimes are still yield to the American say: What America wants happens and what it does not want does not happen.

Sadat one day admitted that ninety-nine of the game’s cards are in America’s hand, and it seems that this truth has extended after the collapse of Soviet Union and became a prevailing law in politics that rules countries and governments and extended even more to become influential on the attitudes and decisions of popular forces and civil society organizations in many world countries.

The reasonable in the world should think in building regimes and societies that are more solid: has more ability to survive, steadfastness, and resistance.

After the collapse of Soviet Union it seemed that the United States has an agenda of demands that are submitted to each country of the world from Russia , China , Japan , the European Union, the Latin American countries, and on the top of the list are the Arab and Islamic countries.

The occasion requires that we explain again that the global American project is not one-dimensional project nor it is a shining bright one.

The American project levies its tax on the loaf of bread and the glass of water, and wants to enter into our bedrooms to enact strict legislations for what we do there.

Concerning our Islamic and Arab region and our country the American project is:

-      A strengthening project for the Zionists.

-      A project that depends on the regimes of despotism and decay; sponsors, supports, and lets them pass.

-      A cultural project that forces itself in our most sacred privates, and even in the words of our Holy Quran ambushing our minds and hearts.

-      The American project is not, as they say, the project of freedom, democracy, strengthening women, and rational governing. Yet it is the project of materialistic interest that follows it wherever it lies, and for its sake it sacrifices the principles and ideals. It is a project of hegemony that has its goals, programs, and means…

Some of its means are the (Security Council), (International Organizations of the United Nations), (International Monetary Fund), (World Bank) and lots of what called civil society organizations that are financed by America .

The American coachman… is looking in our region for means: of rulers and peoples…

The honorable of our people will stay out of this frame…

The American coachman would never find honorable honest people to empower ones on the others.
