Syria: 50 regime fighters killed in car bomb

سوريا : 50 قتيلا من مقاتلي النظام في انفجار سيارة ملغومة

Rami Abdel Rahman, a director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said at least 50 government troops and "loyalist militiamen" were killed in the car bomb explosion near a military post in the village of Ziyara .

"The post, located at the Centre for Rural Development, is the largest gathering place .

Syria bombing: dramatic aftermath of blast in Kafranbel, Idlib

تفجير سوريا : آثار كبيرة من الأنفجار الذي وقع في كفرنبل – أدلب

Opposition supporters said an air raid by Syrian government forces destroyed the main square in the town of Kafranbel on Monday.

Video uploaded to the internet and which cannot be independently verified appeared to show local people trying to help the wounded and move them away from the bomb site. The video shows fires burning in the town, destroyed cars and heavily damaged houses.

David Cameron: UN has let world down over Syria

ديفد كامرون : الأمم المتحدة خيبت شأن العالم بشأن سوريا

Speaking on a visit to the United Arab Emirates , David Cameron repeated his criticism of the United Nations for failing to get member states to agree some form of joint action over Syria , where tens of thousands of civilians have died in the civil war.

During a 30 minute question and answer sessions with students in Abu Dhabi , he said: “In the case of Syria the UN has let the world down. That is really because two of the permanent members, Russia and China , have not been prepared to see a strong resolution that condemns what President Assad has done to his own people.
